Day 01

Arrival at TIA airport of Kathmandu. Transfer to Hotel and Overnight 1350mOur representative will pick up you from International airport and transfer to the Hotel in Thamel. Final preparation of the trip. Meet your guide and final check your trekking equipment. If any equipment is left, you can buy in Thamel.

Day 02

Fly to Lukla (2,860m) and trek to Phakding (2,652m) 3/4 hours. Overnight at tea house Early in the morning we drive to domestic airport for your flight to Lukla. It is early morning flight about 35 minutes. Scenic flight with tiny aircraft takes off you at Hillary airport (Lukla). Introduce with your porter. After managing your luggage, start walking toward Phakding. The trail follows the bank of the Dudhkoshi River. Easy and flat walking takes only around 4 hours

Day 03

Trek Phakding to Namche Bazar (3,440m) 6/7 Hours. Overnight at tea houseAfter your breakfast start trekking to Namche Bazar (Biggest town in Everest region). We pass big suspension bring at the beginning. Than our trail become slightly up hills. Route is passing through alpine forest along with Dudhkoshi River. We also pass Benkar village, Monjo village and jorsalle on the way. After having our lunch, we start tough up hills walking and reach Namche

Day 04

Acclimatization at Namche. Hike to Everest view hotel (3,880m) and back to Namche for overnightIt is acclimatization day and we take hiking tour around. Hike to Everest view hotel and Khumjung village. Visit local monasteries and Hillary school. It is pleasant day to have your lunch at Khumjung village with front view of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Thamserku, Amadablam and others. Come back to Namche. Walking around in Namche get more refresh

Day 05

Trek Namche to Tengboche (3,860m) 5/6 hours. Overnight at tea houseWe trek an easy way with front view of panoramic mountain up to Phunki Thanga, small River side village. From here, trekking route start to be up hills. It contains some of the major ascend toward Tengboche. Tengboche is famous with Tengboche monastery and it is one of the largest monasteries in Everest region. Monastery open from 3 pm and it is good visit at their evening chanting by lamas

Day 06

Trek Tengboche to Dingboche (4,410m) 5/6 hours. Overnight at tea houseTrekking through Rhododendron forest reach at Deboche village. After Diboche valley reach at Pangboche village which is having biggest settlement of Sherpa peoples. We still have good view of Mount Everest, Lhotse and Amadablam. Trekking trail than follow through upper Pangboche for exploring an oldest pangboche monastery. After walking some minor ascends, we can see picturesque village of Dingboche with beautiful potato fields.

Day 07

Day 08

Trek to Kongma La pass (5,540m) and reach at Lobuche, Overnight at tea house. Very early in the morning, start trekking to the pass. It is about 4 – 5 hours of trekking to reach at the top. Walking down through Khumbu glacier towards EBC. After crossing the glacier and river the trail leads up to Lobuche. There will be no tea shop and water resource so you will have to carry few bottles of water to drink as well as some dry foods.

Day 09

Trek Lobuche to Gorakhshep (5,180m). Hike to Everest Base Camp (5,360m) 8 hours. Overnight at tea house in Gorakhshep Day of reaching at base camp of highest peak of the earth, you are at the day of reaching your dream. It is better to start trekking as earlier as possible after your breakfast. The trekking trail to Everest Base Camp is not hard but it is continuously ascending and descending at glacier rocky trail. Everest base Camp is extremely beautiful. Panoramic Mountains including Everest is surroundings. We will come up to near from Khumbu Glacier and see icefall from slopes of Mount Everest. We than come back to Gorakhshep for our overnight.

Day 10

Climb Kalapathar at early in the morning (5,545m) and trek down to Lobuche (4990m) 6 hours. Overnight at tea house We prepare with our small bag with hot drinking water and some nuts. It is about one and half hours climbing. When we start, it is dark and chilly. Get sunrise view and panoramic mountain views which is probably the best view ever in this trekking. We come down to Gorakhshep and have breakfast. Hike back to Lobuche and overnight

Day 11

Trek Lobuche to Dzongla (4843m - 4 Hours) Overnight at Tea house It is day short hiking to Dzongla via Lobuche base camp for climbing Lobuche peak. Rest of the time is for rest & prepare to pass another high pass Chola tomorrow.

Day 12

Trek to Thangna from Dzongla (4,650m - 7/8 Hours) via Cho La Pass (5414m). Overnight at tea house Today is the hardest day of the trip. Start your trekking after early breakfast. Start steep climbing for a while and the trail drops down to the bottom of the Chola. After that the trail leads you through the rock toward the top which is steep climbing. Enjoy stunning view from the top and trekking easy and down to Dzongla

Day 13

Easy day after Hi pass. Trek to Gokyo (4,780m - 3 hours) Overnight at tea houseThis is an easy day walking through the Glacier which is the longest glacier of Nepal called Ngozumpa glacier. Early reaching at Gokyo Lake. The beautiful surroundings with the view of Himalayan and beautiful Lakes in between. Walking around with your guide

Day 14

Climb Gokyo Ri (5,357m) and walking to Fifth Lake. Overnight at Tea houseEarly in the morning steep climb up to the top of Gokyo Ri at an elevation of 5,357m. You get stunning views of the super Gokyo valley, the massive Ngozumpa glacier and an incredible panoramic view of the whole Khumbu Himalayas, including the giants Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Cho-Oyu and Gychung Kang. Come back to lodge and have warm breakfast. Day hiking up to fifth Lake, Base camp of Choyo. Back to Lodge and overnight

Day 15

Trek to Lungdhen from Gokyo Lake (4,780m) 7/8 Hours via Renjo La Pass (5,360m). Overnight at tea house We start quite earlier today with our packed lunch and enough drinking water. First trail start with serious ascend up to the top of Renjo La. see the incredible view of Ngozumba glacier, Mount Everest, Chho-yo, Tabuche Cholatse, Makalu, Amadablam, Thamserku many etc then down to Pleasant walk at flat land and then to downhill reach at Lungden.

Day 16

Trek to Thame from Lungdhen (3,800m) 6/7 hours. Overnight at tea house entire walking path today is flat and down. The memorial climber village Thame itself is good view point of Khumbu Himalaya and memorial Chorterns. Reach at Namche and Overnight

Day 17

Trek Namche to Lukla (2860m) 6/7 Hours. Overnight at tea houseToday is quite long walking down and flat land. It is same way back as we crossed Jorsalle, Manjo, Benkar, Phakding and other small villages on the way. From Jorsalle we cross area of Everest National park. Enjoy your walking with several suspension bring over Dhudhkoshi river

Day 18

Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel. Rest Fly early in the morning from Lukla to Kathmandu. You can view Scenic Mountain and green hills from tiny flight. Drive from Kathmandu domestic airport and check in hotel. Himalaya Thunder Treks invite you to have together dinner in typical Nepali cultural restaurant. Non – touristic area trekking

Chepang People
These backward ethnic communities belong to a well defined traditional are in the south of Dhading, The west of Makawanpur and east of Chitwan along the steeper slopes of Mahabharat range of the mid - Nepal. Very few of these hunting tribal people started deriving subsistence from agriculture. Otherwise, hunting, wood collections etc have been their foremost living subsistence. Though, they are economically backward, they have a rich and unique culture traditional. With the increasing encroachment of the forest (their main living resource) by themselves and other communities alike, these people lately started working in the development projects in the areas as hard labors.
Chepang Museum
A Chepang Museum has also been established at Shaktikhor with the view to preserve and promote primitive cultures, originalities, costumers, life style of the people. Different materials used by the Chepangs and relics like catapults used in killing birds, slings and bows used for hunting animals, crushing devices, dhiki and janto ( traditional stone tools for beating and grinding grains). Pots, wooden Containers, drums have been kept in the museum.
ITINERARY DETAILS
Day 01: Drive to Charaudi for three hrs, the rafting put-in point then we will meet our raft crew. The leader of the raft will give short briefing on safety procedure. Within whole day we encounter several big-small rapids but the main interesting one are after Majhimtar which is just before the upset rapid and according to the Colorado river rating scale this rapit has been rated from 3 to 4. All tricky rapids bear Nepali name as well as common names, which will be told by the rafting guide. Lunch will be served on the beach of the river just before going through the upset rapids. Shortly after lunch we will encounter another rapid known as surprise. It is indeed, for the current accelerates and the rapid increase in size and frequency. We will spend a night at Kuringhat camp.
Day 02: After breakfast, we continue raft-encountering Mugling & Simaltal rapid and pass another Marshyangdi river, which has flowed down from Manang Valley. Arrive put-out-point at Simaltal then drive an hour’s to Hugdi, starting point of the trail. Hugdi is between Mugling and Krisna Bhir in Dhading district. About 4 hrs walk will arrive at Hattibang. Hattibang offers good scenery of the surrounding mountains and you will trekthrough pristine mid hill forest. You can experience Magar, Chepang Giri and Puri cultures at the community-run home-stay and community- managed guest house. The cultural show b locals can enjoyed at evening time. Local handicrafts can be possessed here. You can make a tour of the village and visit the community lodge.
Day 03: Trek from Hattibang to Jyanjala via Jautesh. Changa and Dinglang takes about 3 hrs to reach. On the way you cross several villages and visit the community lodge.
Day 04: Trek from Jyanjala to UpperdaNGADHI VIA Siraichuli and Chisapanitar and it takes about 6:30 hrs. You will trek through rough landscape and vegetation. Siraichuli (1945m.) is one of the highest hill of Mahabharat ranges. It offers magnificent views of the mountains and fascinating views of sunrise and sunset. You can enjoy the spectacular views of Rolwalling, Gaurishankar, Langtang, Gorkha Himal, Manaslu, Peak 29, Himalchuli, Annapurna Range Dhaulagiri and the Chitwan national park in the terai south side. Chisapanitar is a popular bird watching site where 250 varieties of bird species are found. The dense forest in this region is also home to other wild animals. Upperdangdhi was the Headquarter of Chitwan till early 1962. The remains of a historic fort that defended the surrounding countryside are still here. The fort at 1275 is said to have been built by Shatru Bhanjan Shah. Here you can also enjoy the magnificent views
Day 5: Trek from Upperdangadi to Shaktikhor, the ending point of the trek provides innumerable opportunity to visitors for a memorable cultural experience. You can gain cultural experience at Shaktkhor. Other attractions include visit to Chepang Museum, Sinti waterfall and Sinti cave. You can make village tour and can enjoy cultural show performed by Chepang and Magar.
Day 06: Drive from Shaktikhor to Chitwan National Park, which takes about 1 hrs drive. Arrive Chitwan and transfer to the Hotel Himalaya Thunder Jungle view Resort. Uppon arrival will have briefing about activities and Facilities. After Lunch naturlist will take you culture tour to Tharu village, Musium tour, sun set tour in the evening, Tharu stick dance, overnight at Himalaya Thunder jungle view resort.
Day 07: Whole day jungle activity which includes elephant ride, canoe, nature walk, visit to elephant breeding center, jeep ride etc. We can also enjoy a night at Himalaya Thunder Jungle View Resort.
Day 08: After breakfast bird watching tour. You will once again go through the experience hand of our Naturalist, able to encounter many of the rare and migratory species of birds which numbers to more than 450 species, while walking along the parkof the bank of the river. And after then drive towards Kathmandu or Pokhara 10.00 is Departure.
Cost Includes:
Rafting: All rafting equipments are with guide, meal while on the River. Accommodation in two men tent, all necessary fees, all camping gears, River permit & transport if necessary are the things to do.
Trekking: 3 meal a day (Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner) along the trekking trail and Accommodation in Local houses. An experience government license holder English speaking guide, necessary porters, their food, drink, insurance, all equipment, transportation and all local taxes, Wages of guide and other members.

Accommodation:  Beside home-stay facilities in Shaktikhor, Gadi, Chisapanitar, Chitram, Majhbang and Hattibang, resting places porter shelters with bathroom/ toilets are also available in Siddhi, whereas camping site is available in Uppardangadi, Hattibang, Chitram and Jyanjala. The nearest point where all major tourist facilities are available is Sauraha near the Chitwan National park.
Food: Wholesome and organic locally produced agricultural items are available along the Chepang Hills Trail. Millets, wheat, corn, buck wheat Dhido (Nepali food item) and roti, baked corn, soybeans and others beans, dal and rice, gundruk (partially fermented edible leaves), seasonal vegetables and fruits, ghee, milk, local honey, curd, other juice, poultry/ goat items, edible roots etc. Sel-roti (fox-bread), black dals phuloura (a type of fried item), crab, tama (bamboo shoots), fish, nettle etc are also available on demand.
